How to Make an Extra $1,000 This Week

Welcome back to another episode of The Fierce Business Babe Podcast. Let's dive into today's brand new episode. These are a new shorter style episode that we're calling this Fierce Business Q&A. It’s a micro episode for you answering one question that a client asked. This is how it's going to work: each week my team pulls a question that a client asked in one of my programs and I'm going to go into full detail here with you on how we answered the question and how we supported our client.

The way that we supported our client with this question was inside of our Slack channel, which is where it was asked. We are in there every single day supporting our clients, so we responded on the same day. We’re in there multiple times every single day ensuring all clients are being supported.
So the question was, how to make an extra $1,000 this week? Let's go ahead and answer that question. This question actually came up because it was part of a challenge we were doing for the month. Something that I like to challenge my clients to do is ask themselves, how can we go even bigger? Some of us will plan for a $5K month or a $20K month or a $50K month, whatever it may be and we’re always trying to hit that goal, but what if we went bigger? What if we stretched a little bit more? How can you add an additional 20% or 10% of MRR, or monthly recurring revenue, on top this month? We did this with clients this week and I wanted to chat with you about that today so that I can also support you with how to add more and stretch a little bit more with some of your goals. I want to help you reach that next level for you and your business.
The way that you can make an extra however much, an extra thousand dollars this week, or an extra $2,000 or 5,000, is, of course, signing more clients or filling more spots in your programs, but let’s say that you have one or two core offers. Maybe you're completely full at the moment in those offers or maybe you're about to launch something a few months from now and it's not quite ready. You can always create something new in the moment if you want or try to repurpose something that you already had created. I like to pull out some secret menu items from time to time. A secret menu item is basically something that you can offer, but you don't always offer it publicly. So for example, maybe a month of Voxer support with you. It may be a three-month private coaching package instead of a six-month one.
For example, my private packages are always six months, so maybe I want to pull out a three-month if I wanted to stretch a little bit more. You could sell some intensives or some one-on-one coaching calls. You can have a flash sale for one of your courses that you have already created, maybe you pull it out of your vault. We do this from time to time, usually a few times per year. If you have any other digital downloads or anything else that you already have. If you've done any free training in the past or free workshops or a free training series you can bundle all of this up into a mini-course or a bundle. We've done this in the past with some of our free trainings or just trainings that we pulled from other programs that we've created that maybe we don't run anymore. We have bundled these into mini courses or other bundles in our business that we have in our vault that we’ll take out and sell from time to time.
If you are going to be selling something soon, maybe it's not quite ready for launch, you can always pre-sell a few spots. Maybe you can sell a few spots for next quarter’s private coaching or your program that you're going to be launching in another month or two. We’ve pre-sold spots to some of our programs and masterminds two to three months ahead, so you can definitely do the same. Think about what you can offer. What can you sell? What is something that would really entice your audience and that you would also like to support clients with? Go ahead and offer it to people. If someone wasn't quite ready for one-on-one, no worries. Pull out a secret menu item. Give them something else you feel is going to help them get from point A to point B that they would really really love. This also gives them a great taste of what it's like to work with you. You can always upsell them into something else. We’ve done quite a few intensives over the past few years. I haven't done one in quite some time, however anytime I would do an intensive I would always upsell into one of our group programs or into private coaching.
So there are lots of different things you can do. Pull out some secret menu items, have fun selling, and let's get some extra cash flow into your business this week.
