Welcome back to another episode of The Fierce Business Babe Podcast and happy new year! 2024 here we are! New year, big year, and I’m here for it! Hope you had an amazing time celebrating the kick off to 2024 and it’s time to get to work and make some big things happen for you!

How to reflect & celebrate last year:
I know for so many of us, 2023 was a big year. 2023 was a busy year with life and so many starting and growing their own businesses and we’re heading into the new year with a clean slate so what do we do?
I am a big believer in reflecting, that everything happens exactly at the right moment exactly when it’s meant to, and that things can also shift so quickly for us.
If 2023 wasn’t as big or successful of a year for you, that’s okay. It says nothing about how 2024 is going to be for you. If 2023 was a big year, amazing, let’s reflect, celebrate, and keep bumping up the energy for an even bigger 2024.
Let’s reflect on some of the things that did work for you last year and see what we can potentially amplify and add more of for you this year. This will also give you an idea of what you want less of this year in both life and business.
What made last year a great year for you? Were there certain programs you sold that you enjoyed more? Which offers were most profitable? How did you show up on social media for those launches? What made selling fun for that program? What can we rinse and repeat here? Can we amplify for this year?
For example, if last year your launches went great and now you want to double your sales, let’s see where we can amplify what’s already working for you. If you want to bring in 20 new clients into your group program each month instead of 10, you’ll need to double down on visibility and growth.
Mindset shifts for the new year:
You know me, I love some great journal prompts so I wanted to share some with you today to help gear up for an incredible year to come! Great journal prompts to kick off the year with:
I’m proud of myself for _____ in 2023.
I wish I had done _____ in 2023 so this year I’m playing bigger and am going to do it!
3 things I learned in 2023 were ____
My results for 2023 makes sense because ____
Something I believe is that there’s a reason for everything AND our results in business always make sense. When we are signing clients consistently, it typically makes sense: you’re showing up on social media, you’re connecting with your audience, you’re selling to your audience, you’re consistently adding value, etc. When something isn’t working, figure out how it makes sense so that you can make tweaks and refine instead of spiraling into stories that don’t serve you.
Results make sense example: You posted about your brand new offer three times last month and no one has bought: makes sense. If you’re only posting about your offer a few times and expecting sales, it makes sense that no one has bought. Majority of the time your offer needs to be seen 7-10 times, likely 20-30, it needs more brand awareness.
You consistently have clients that break your boundaries. How does this make sense? Are you attracting clients that aren’t aligned OR are you not providing the expectations/boundaries in your containers and actually holding true to them?
When it feels like things didn’t go as planned or that nothing is “working”, zoom out. What is actually happening here?
How to set up for success in 2024:
Focus on one thing at a time: how can you move the needle forward today? There will always be more and more to do, don’t overwhelm yourself early on. So many entrepreneurs were completely burnt out by December because everyone was trying to pack in as much as they could that year. Focus on one thing at a time. One day at a time. One goal at a time.
Stay plugged into some type of mentorship, support, coaching, learning/personal development. We don’t know what we don’t know. New challenges come at new levels and I have a feeling this next year is going to be a big big year for so many of you so lean into the support. Find a mentor who has already walked your path, that has seen the challenges, that knows the tips and tricks, what to avoid, and help set you up for that success.
Keep in mind, whatever happened last year says nothing about this year for you. If you’re unhappy with how last year went and you don’t make any changes to do anything about it at the start of this year, you’re choosing to stay in that same place. YOU get to decide what shifts. YOU get to decide how the year goes. YOU get to move the needle every day, take consistent action, make bold moves, etc.
Start showing up as the 6 figure or 7 figure version of you would. How does that version of you show up on social media? How does that version sell? How does she detach from the outcome? How does she react to highs and lows in businesses? How does she invest? How does she move and make decisions? Start being that person NOW.
