Today, I am diving into how you can start shifting into $20K months in your business. We are going to chat about the biggest shifts I have made to get me to where I am in my business today and how you can start to make these shifts in your own business. I am also going to share some extra tips to help you and your business thrive.
5 Steps to $20K Months

Today we are diving into all things next level and how you can start shifting into $20K months. If you're not quite there yet, or if you're in the very beginning stages, I still recommend reading because you'll be able to take some of the concepts that I do talk through today and start to utilize them for your specific goals. So if your goal, for example, is to reach your first $5K month in your business, or your first $10K month, you will be able to brainstorm exactly how you'll be able to do that and what that can look like by using what you learn today. So definitely hang around, even if you're not quite ready for the $20K month level in your business.
Today we're going to be going into strategies to reaching that 20K a month level and five steps to be exact, along with diving into exactly how you can create your very own roadmap to it too.
No matter how far in business you are right now, I want to let you know that you can achieve anything that you put your mind to and work towards. So if you believe it can happen, you can make it happen. Now, when I first started years ago, I did not think that $20K months were anywhere near my range, and here we are, a 7 figure business and continuing to grow. So whatever your goal is, you can do it.
So I have learned so, so, so much over the years. Let’s dive in by going into the biggest shifts for consistent $20K months I've had to make. These are shifts that I've made in my business and my clients' businesses as well. I've taught them to do the same to help them reach multiple six figures in their business and now you can too.
Have A Strategic Plan
The first shift that we get to make is having a strategic plan. Just having a plan in general, because everything feels more doable with a plan in place. Right? Putting your plan out on paper, whether it's in a Google Doc or even on your notes in your phone somewhere. Having it somewhere so that you can visually see it. So you're not just winging your business day to day. This is your business, we're not going to be winging it anymore. So, whether this is your content plan, your launch plan, your sales plan for the quarter, your next 10 podcast episodes you want to or record whatever it is, let's create a plan. I promise, everything feels more doable with that plan in place. I know that for myself, but if things are going on, or if I have things going on that are constant open loops, it just adds stress and anxiety into my plate. So have a plan so that you know where you're heading which is also going to help you close some of those loops even faster.
Now when you have a plan in place is it set in stone? Definitely not. Can you adjust your plan? Can you make pivots if needed? Absolutely. This is your business, so you get to make up the rules. However, I don't want you to feel like you're throwing spaghetti at the wall every day and seeing what sticks and doesn't stick. Let's put a plan together.
Amplify Your Sales Process
Now, the second shift to taking things to the next level and reaching that $20K month level and beyond is to start to amplify your sales process. Now, when you're at this point, if you're at the $10K month mark right now, or the $15K month mark and wanting to take things to the next level you get to do so by automating more of your lead generation, increasing your nurturing cycle and creating more evergreen funnels. So, for you to truly, truly scale, you get to help more people. You get to serve more people. And it's difficult to do that if you're handling your entire sales process alone. Trust me. I tried to be the only person in my business, focusing on my sales process and it's very difficult to scale to $20K a month, $30K, $40K, $50K or beyond without some help there. As you start to amplify your sales process, you're going to be able to serve more and more people. So it's really time to amplify and get some help with your sales process, whether that means that you hire a sales team member to do sales calls for you, or maybe add in an evergreen funnel that is always bringing new people into your sales process every single day. Yes, you want to be bringing in people every day. That means you're reaching more people, which is definitely the goal, you know. Ask yourself, how are you nurturing them right now? Is this something that you're currently doing by hand? Or do you have a system in place to do this for you so that you're not needing to be in your business 24/7?
Creating Next Level Systems
Now let's roll right into shift number three. So we've already covered number one, putting a strategic plan in place. Then number two, amplifying your sales process. Number three: the next big thing we get to shift, is creating next level systems. Now you already have some kind of system in place in your business right now. It's time to take them to the next level. We always want to prep you for that next level. So we want to work to improve your content marketing systems, your sales systems and your client systems so that they're all working smarter for you.
Now systems inside of your business and programs can definitely be taken to the next level so that you can continue to improve client experience. Right? Again, your content, marketing, your sales, all of those things. We want your business to be working smarter for you, not you working harder inside the business. Now this year, we started bringing in our highest months in business ever, and I haven't added any additional time personally into my business. I'm actually working a little bit less than it was last year. So I'm still working about 20 hour work weeks with a few more vacation weeks throughout the year, and it's because that's how I want my business to run. Also starting this month, I just mentioned, I've been taking at least one entire week off of work and my business is still able to run. So what that means is my clients are still supported. My business still has sales coming in without me in it. So we want to create systems that if you did take a few days off or a week off or two weeks off or four weeks off, that your business would still run in the background, your clients would be supported. Sales would continue to come in. So that's number three, we get to create next level systems for you.
Invest in your Business
Number four, this is something that has been a game changer in my business over the past few years. If you've been in my community for a while, you know, I'm huge on investing. I truly believe in it. I invest over, over $60, $70,000 per year into my business and mentorship. And it's something I truly, truly believe is having a mentor, a container to lean into, and actually leaning into the container and really utilizing that support that you're investing into. So as new challenges are faced in new levels of business, surround yourself with others who will continue to support you and guide you as you move into your next level. This is one of my favorite parts about my group programs that I run is recreating that space, that community, that container for you to lean into.
Daily Self Care
Number five is one of the most important ones, especially as you continue to grow and really move your business into the six figure, multiple six figures, seven figure mark. Good things happen when you're feeling good. You as a business owner, you as a person, you start to attract more when you feel good, at the end of the day, that's what happens. So one of my daily priorities is to do things that make me feel good. So that means that my morning routine is one of my priorities. My morning walk each morning, the past month and a half or two months I've been getting at least a mile in before I start my workday of walking, whether it's my treadmill in my house or outside. If it's a nice day here in Seattle, you know, getting that going. So let's start making some of these shifts in your business and it's really time for you to step into your true CEO. So again, no matter where you're at, whether you're just starting or you're at the $5K a month level or $10K a month level, you can implement some of these shifts to still move the needle forward.
Mapping Out Your Month
So now let's start to map out your $20K months. Again, if you're not quite ready, you can still use this same method that I'm about to walk you through and map out your $5K month or your $10K month. So I'm going to give you some examples of ways that you can reach your first or your next $20K month. It can be one of these or you can mix some of these up together. There are no rules. It's your business.
Now the first is always going to be the easiest. In my opinion, I always feel that filling a private coaching spot is always the easiest. In my opinion, it's always been easiest for us. We always fill our private spot within a week or so, because it's the highest accessibility to you. Right? My private clients get daily Voxer with me, multiple private calls throughout the month. All of my, I mean, ALL of my courses and templates, everything I've ever created. So, if you're wanting to hit your first $20K month, you know, depending on what your point A to point B is for your private coaching, you could sell one private coaching client at $20K and then boom, that is your $20K month. Your highest accessibility to you. Highest ticket. You have many perfect soulmate clients out there, ready to invest that into your private coaching. Just know that we usually always have our private coaching spots filled because I do only work with a few at a time throughout the year and that is the highest container that I have for my clients.
So maybe you're not wanting to fill any more private spots. Maybe your private spots are already completely full. The next thing that you could do is fill, let's say that your group coaching program is a $4,000 group coaching program. Fill five spots this month. Boom. There's your $20K month. So we want you to start to shift from one-to-one to one-to-many and start to serve more people for you to really scale. Again, we get to serve more people and you can do so all by working less. So launch that group program you've been spending the last six months thinking about launching, let's get it out there. People need you. People need you, your gifts, your services, your programs, they need you. So let's get out there and start selling them. So again, if you've got that program, Five spots. Boom. If your group coaching program is $2,000, then if you fill 10 spots, boom, there's your $20K month. So just change a few of those numbers around. And again, if you're wanting to hit your $5k month or $10K month, just change some of those numbers around that fit your business model that you've got right now and let's see how many spots need to be filled because you could always put a plan together to make that happen.
Also, If you have a passive course that you're launching right now, let's say it's a thousand dollar course, then you'll need to sell how many of those to hit your $20K month? Let's say that your passive course might be $500. Well, for you to hit a $20K month, you'll need to sell 40 of those. So if your passive course is a thousand dollars, you'll need to sell 20 of those.
So what type of income is my favorite? Passive income is one of my favorites. So if you have a course, go and sell it, talk about it throughout the week, your Facebook group, your email list, through Instagram stories. These you can let your sales be hands off. It's your business. It gets to be however you want it to be.
Okay. Next way. So we've already done quite a few things. Let's say you have a $100 downloadable digital product. Maybe you just launched your course last month and you're looking to utilize your lower ticket offer as a down-sell. It's a very natural down sell. Then, if you sell 200 of your $100 downloads, boom! What is it again? You're $20K month. So you can always mix a few of these. You can do half of your $20K a month coming from your passive course, half from group coaching. It gets to be whatever you want it to be. But again, let's put a plan together that way we can determine, okay, these are the things that get to get done in order for me to fill all these spots, or this is what gets to happen to hit that mark or that goal in my business.
Another example, if you have a mini course, maybe you've got a super low ticket, $50 offer, or if it's $37, $47, let's just use 50 again for easy numbers. You know, if you sell 400 of those. There's your $20K month. Host a webinar this month and give those that join the opportunity to hop into your mini course you have for $50, right? Utilize things that you already have. You're allowed to sell more than one thing at one time.
