The Fierce Business Babe Podcast Ep. 99: 6 Figure Mindset
In today’s episode I discuss the ideas and motivations towards a six figure mindset. I also expand on other money mindsets and how to embrace them. I will dig deep into how your mindset can hinder your business and share how my money mindset personally affected me.
6 Figure Mindset

I am so excited to dive into the topic of six-figure mindset. So, a few weeks ago I spoke about this on one of our Tuesday talks on my free Facebook Group Community. If you’re not in there yet, definitely go hop into my free Facebook Group Community - it is called the “Fierce Business Babes Facebook Group”. It's very easy to find - poke around. It's also in the show notes, or should be in the show notes as well for you. Now, I did speak about six-figure money mindset and people reached out so much about it that I wanted to expand on it and really dig into other mindset spots as well, on top of money mindset, because it's all so important as we really start to build and scale are businesses.
Mindset is something that we truly get to work on at all stages and it’s definitely not a one-and-done deal. It's something we get to continue to work on at all levels. When you first start your business, when you hit your first 5K month, 10K month, 15K month, 20K month, 50K month, 100K month - everything - mindset will always be something that we work on. New challenges are always going to come our way.
Thinking back to when I first started, some of my favorite books around mindset, specifically money mindset, and mindset in general, "You Are a Badass" by Jen Sincero, and basically anything related to John C Maxwell (I absolutely love his stuff too), and when we start working towards the six-figure level in your business we get to continue to work on your mindset as well. I know that when I was about to reach my first six figures, my mindset around money, my mindset around sales, my mindset around social media, and myself definitely were challenged. I mean very challenged, and worked on. I spent a ton of time on my mindset and I still do, every single week. Our mindset affects our businesses more than we think, more than we know.
Mindset Example
For example, I’m going to ask a few questions and let me know either by sending me a message or just kind of nod with me as you're listening to this podcast episode, let me know what comes up for you. So if I ask you, “So, what is actually holding you back right now with your mindset? What's holding you back in your business? Are you afraid to show up on social media right now?”. If you are, totally okay, I was there at one point in my business too. I remember being so afraid of showing up on Instagram stories when I first started, when Instagram stories first came to life, because it wasn’t around when I first started, but I was afraid of walking down the sidewalk and anybody watching me sees I'm recording an Instagram story. What were they going to think about me, were they going to think I was a total weirdo talking to my phone, you know, all of these things. If we're afraid to show up on some media it's totally normal and this will hinder things in our business, like lead generation in our business, the amount of value we add in our business, and in the long-term your business income.
Another question: “Are you afraid to raise your prices?”. This is a mix of money and sales mindset and if the answer is yes, again it's okay, I was there at one point too. If the answer is yes, this will hinder your scalability to six figures. It's going to be very difficult to scale if you’re afraid to raise your prices. Are you afraid to tweak your program so that you can serve more people?. Again, totally normal, I was there too. I remember when I wanted to expand and tweak and serve more people and scale some of my first few programs I created, and I was afraid to. However, if we don’t do this right, then we're not able to help more people. So an example would be making tweaks to one of your programs that you can enroll more into that group program and maybe something that you do in that is remove Voxer access, or hire support coaches to help you continue to grow. At the end of the day, this will hinder your impact in the long run.
Six-Figure Fierce Business Mastermind
Now, if you've related to any of those at all, again I know I keep saying this, I was there too. It's totally normal. And again, it's a huge part of six-figure mindset right. Every single thing that I just said, noted off said, definitely goes into play when reaching six figures. Now, who wouldn’t want all of that? This is again the last round that private coaching is included, so reach out. That’s the end of that, I'm not going to dig anymore into it. I want to get back to the episode.
Mindset Shifts
So, some of the biggest mindset shifts that you will be meeting and crossing will be around again money, sales, social media and growth as you continue to grow and grow and grow in your business. Now, how do you feel around money? Big question of the day, right? How do you feel about money? Do you feel worthy of receiving money? How do you feel around sales right now? That’s a big one! Sales is a big one for a lot of people, same with money. Does it feel icky, do you feel sleazy? Does it feel gross to you right now? How do you feel around social media? Are you afraid what others will think of you if you post what you truly want to talk about? Are you afraid to be your authentic self and show up on social media? Are you afraid of what your friends and family will think that if you start your business or leave your 9 to 5, so that you have the space to actually scale to six figures and then multiple six figures? Are you afraid what they’re going to think, what they’re going to say to you, or how they’re going to act towards you? Are you afraid to work with others in your industry because you’re afraid they may steal potential clients from you?
Or do you see the benefit in collaboration? And again, every single thing I’ve just said I’ve experienced myself. So I know how scary it can feel and all of these, they're mindset beliefs. They're stories and you could ask yourself, “Is this a story that is actually serving me right now in this moment, is this story that I’ve created right?”, because all these stories are created based off of experiences that we've had, usually when we're very young, and they stay with us until we shift them. Now, is this story, is this belief - is it helping me get more of what I want? Is it serving you? I'm going to say that again. Is this helping me get more of what I want? If no, then we get to shift, and guess what? We get to shift as quickly as we choose to shift. This was one of the biggest like eye-openers for me as I started to work on my mindset is that you get to choose this, you get to shift once you decide to shift. It is a choice and it can be as simple as that. You choose to create a new story that actually serves you. So if you feel icky about selling or you feel sleazy about it, shift your story from sales of sleazy, to sales of serving. You selling is sharing with somebody how you can help them, guide them, serve them. It truly is an act of service. And you get to choose to shift your story to that, and truly be in that story, and believe that story, and come from that story and serve in that story.
Money Mindset
Now, let's talk about money mindset specifically because this is one of the biggest mindset blocks that I see as entrepreneurs are trying to scale to the six-figure mark in their business to that big next jump for them. As we get to talking about six-figure money mindset, I want you to start to ask yourself some questions. Feel free, nod along or even jot some down in your journal or your notebook that I know you’ve got out right now with you.
What are some of your stories about money right now? What do you believe about money and how do you manage money right now? Are you afraid that if you spend money it will run out? Do you get rid of money fast because you’re afraid you can't manage it? Are you unsure of how to handle money? I know a lot of people who go through money and buy everything they can until their bank account is empty because they were afraid and they don’t know how to manage it, or they don’t think they can manage more money. We want to think about the emotions and the actions that we make around money because the way that we manage our money, basically the way that we manage anything, will tell us about the influx of income that we're going to receive in our life and in our business, all of the things. And really what I believe to be true is that money is a resource that you can choose to get what you want. So what does money make possible for you? For me, pre-COVID it allowed me to travel. Now it's more for staycations and saving up for the big travel post-COVID. I get to give back to the community. I get to invest in my business. I get to hire team members. I get to add to my savings, build my own home. Ryan and I (Ryan's my boyfriend for those of you who are a little bit newer), we just purchased land so that we could build our first home together.
Money is a resource. It's not good, it's not bad. It shows up when we're ready for it and if you shift your mindset around money, you can shift everything else in your business as well. More money will start flowing to you. You’ll be hearing more yeses because you’ll feel more worthy of receiving that money. It'll feel like that even energy exchange you keep hearing about. So, how about we start to make some six-figure money mindset shifts. And again, we get to shift as quickly as we choose to, or as slowly as you choose to. However, I do recommend shifting as quickly as you can so you can get out of whatever funk you might be in right now. We get to shift.
Money Mantra
So, one of my big money mindset shifts, I’m going to call it my “Money Mantra”, that I say to myself weekly is: “I love money because I love myself”. Money truly supports my happiness. And what I want you to do is, I want you to make a list of all of the reasons that you deserve money. Then I also want you to list the things and the experiences that money can add to your life. So I had mentioned earlier in this episode, you know, money helps me invest in my business. Money allows me to hire more team members. I’m able to fund more charities, give back to the world. I'm able to travel. I’m able to do so much more and create experiences with money. Money is something we don’t need to frown upon. It is something we can shift our mindset around. And I can tell you I was the girl growing up with my parents, who I love so much. However, their money mindset is very different from where mine is right now. I grew up feeling and doing for most of my childhood, and even up until college. I would drive just like my Mom (“love you Mom”), drive the 10-15 miles across town to get gas to save $0.03 a gallon and then drive all the way back. Right, how much sense does that make if we actually think about it? We would spend an hour driving around trying to save $5 off of parking somewhere, that was five blocks away. I think about that now - I would rather walk five blocks, save myself that hour and it will probably take me 10 minutes to walk the five blocks. But you know what I’m saying, you know what I’m trying to get at here. And so, if I was able to shift my money mindset, you most definitely can because not too long ago my money mindset really lacked and if I get to choose to shift, you get to choose to shift if you want to, if you choose to. And I can tell you as you start to shift your money mindset, it will make things in your business so much easier. It'll make things flow so much better. And as you continue to scale your mindset and your business to six figures, I want you to ask yourself: What would the next level version of you do? How would they create content? Would they care what others thought on social media - that next level version of you? If you were hitting six figures today, would you care about this? Would you be outsourcing right now? Would you expand systems in your business, or would you be afraid to get bigger. Where would you be? What would that next level version of you do? How would you act, how would that next level version of you - how would she invest? Let me know, I would love to hear. Let me know by sharing on Instagram stories.
