 3 Ways To Sell Daily

By: Melissa Lin

Today we're diving into how you can be selling daily in your business and doing it in a way that actually feels good. A way where it doesn't feel forced, and you can even do some of this behind the scenes. Last week, we dove into how you can start to do things in your business like taking certain actions to consistently grow and scale your business. One of the items that I actually talked about was the idea around selling every single day in your business. This might sound absolutely terrifying to some that are in the beginning stages of their business. I know how scary it can feel, to start selling your programs when you're just starting. The thought of selling every single day may make you want to just run screaming, but I'm going to show you and share with you how you can be selling in your business every single day. Even if you only have one offer, maybe you've got a few offers, maybe you're in launches, courses, or you've got evergreen programs. You can do so in a way that actually feels good and aligned with you.

Now, we sell every single day in our business. We're consistently bringing in new clients into our programs. A: because I absolutely love selling. (Have I always loved selling? No. I was absolutely terrified when I first started my business.) and B: we know that selling is serving. So we get out there. We love selling and sharing our products, offers, or services with others. We have so many different systems set up so that we can be selling all of the time. Now, I want to start to help you move in that direction as well, because you get to let the world know about all the things you have to offer. You're here to make a difference. You are here to create a transformation and really create an impact, and we can't do that if we're not selling. You are a business remember? You're a business.

Why Sell Every Day

That's the big question. Maybe you're wondering right now, "Melissa, why do I have to sell every day? Can't it just be every other day or every few days?" Nope, it gets to be every day and you can definitely work your way into this. Now the first reason, again, I already mentioned this, but you have an offer, a program, or a service that truly is needed in the world. In order for that transformation and result for that person to occur in their lives, they need to know about how you can help them and your various offers. Now, not everybody will see every Instagram story that you make. Not everyone will see every post that you put out there. Not everyone will see every live training that you do. You can sell every single day, without hopping on Instagram stories, waving your hands, and being like, “Hey, I'm a coach, hey, I'm a service provider, come work with me.” You can sell in so many other ways. In my programs, I give all my clients dozens and dozens of different ways to be selling in their businesses. I love helping my clients figure out ways they can sell their businesses without it feeling hard and without it being forced, because there are so many ways to sell. We're gonna walk you through three different ways that you can be selling daily in your business. Who knows, maybe I'll sneak in a few extra bonuses for you; because there really are so many different ways.

Now, the second reason. It really takes your potential leads anywhere from seven to ten touch points with you and your program before they convert. That's on average. For some people, it might take a lot more. So we get to be selling more. Selling daily will help you move the needle forward in your business. Again, and I know I keep saying this because I truly, truly mean it and believe it. You can do this in a way that feels good to you. Okay, there's so many ways to sell. You can do it in a way that feels good. Will it be a little out of your comfort zone? Possibly. Until you get consistent with it. Right? How out of your comfort zone was it to hop on Instagram stories for you for the first time? How long did it take you to get consistent with it?  Now it's easy peasy lemon squeezy. You just hop on Instagram Stories like it's no big deal.Same thing goes with selling and if you continue with that consistency with selling daily in your business. I know it's gonna feel so good to you because you know how much you're serving when you sell.

How To Start Selling Daily

Now, one of the biggest things that I see and hear from people is they think they're selling every single day, but they aren't always selling when they think they're selling. They're not actually sharing how to reach out or what offers are available. For instance, maybe there is an educational piece and you have a quick PS at the end that says, “If this is something you want to learn more about come apply for my program, come work with me.” A lot of people think they do that once a week, that's enough to sell but it is not.

We get to be more proactive and really let people know how they can work with us. The easier we make it happen for them, the more likely they're going to take action on it. So we get to let them know what's available and how they can work with you. How are they going to reach out to you? How can they ask questions? How can they do these things? We get to give them a permission slip to do so.

Share Your Freebie

Do you have your pen ready to get some notes written down? The first thing you do is or the first you can do is share your freebie. Share a freebie that you have that upsells. This could be something that upsells to a tripwire that then goes into an email sequence for a higher ticket. If you're a little further along in your business, then you're probably already thinking about these bigger funnels if you're working towards the 10K months and 20K months. If you're newer in your business, you're just starting, no need to stress about that. You don't need any big funnels when you just start. We really didn't put any funnels into our business until we were reaching that 15 to 20K month mark. That’s when we started to put the big funnels together. Now, we always had a free small funnel, and I'm gonna walk you through an example of that. So if you have a freebie, let's say it upsells. I'm gonna walk you through what this can actually look like.

If you have a freebie, where can you share it? Well, as long as it's upselling to something then if you share your freebie you're selling. So for example, you can share your freebie, which is tons of value. Right? Value to add into other Facebook groups. You can share your freebie in your own Facebook group. I do this a ton. Your business page on Facebook, your Instagram stories, your Instagram caption, Pinterest, your podcast. If you go to the show notes right now, you will find some of our freebies there because we're always sharing our freebies. That’s because we know how valuable they are. We love helping you ladies with some quick wins.

So there are a few places you can send out freebies like your email list. Every week, we've got a newsletter that we send out with all of the things that we put out in content that week. So for example, if you're on our email list, you will most likely receive this on Friday. We share our podcast episode of the week so that you don't miss out on all of that value. We share a freebie of the week. We also share something that we've been doing a little more recently, which is Fierce Business Q&A episodes that you can find on my business page or over on IGTV. I'm all about adding value and really giving. So send it out to your email list. You can even have it in your Instagram bio if you want. Feel free to go and check out my Instagram bio. If you have not found me on Instagram yet. Please come say hi. I don't bite, I promise. My handle is at @TheMelissalin. That actually should be in the show notes as well. Go take a look. It should be the same.

What I like to do and what I have right now is I have a resource page. It's similar to a link tree but not quite. It's actually my own page on my website. There I have a whole section for my freebies. So that if someone new comes to my page, they can click that link and see number one. The ways to work with me. So boom, there's a way of selling right there and my freebies which do funnel into other things. So they continue to learn how they can work with me. So I'm selling right there with the link in my bio with of course a call to action. So there are so many places that you can share your freebies. And if it's set up into a small funnel, or even a large funnel, you can be selling hands off on autopilot. This is my favorite because you don’t really feel like you're constantly selling or forcing on Instagram Stories every single day.

Example Of A Sales Funnel

So let's walk through a quick funnel example. So that you can start to picture your freebie and what this can look like. Go and check out my Instagram story highlights. So again, if you're not friends with me on Instagram, or we're not connected, let's go connect there. In my highlights, I have two mini training little highlights in there. You'll also be able to find screenshots of what I'm about to go through describing two different funnels. One is for a small Product Funnel. If you have a $50 product or smaller, and then that is also an evergreen course funnel that you can create. So go check out my Instagram stories. If you are like "what are you talking about Melissa?" Well, just send me a DM and I can help direct you to where that's at. If you find me it should be pretty simple, you should be able to find that. I try and make it as easy as possible for you to find those things. So a quick example of what this freebie could look like; You've got your freebie. It relates to your program that you're selling, or an offer that you have. If it's for something that's evergreen that you always have available. I'm going to go through a low ticket product example. So $50 or less, so your lead will download your freebie that relates to your product. This is where the selling starts hands off where you're not having to do any of it. The first email that gets sent out will be an instant email that sends the freebie. Then let's send another email two hours later, giving $5 off your low priced product, your low ticket product for 24 hours. Then a third email goes out 12 hours later, sending them a reminder that the $5 off disappears in 12 hours. This is what we do in one of our freebies.

So yes, giving you all the behind the scenes, all the things you need. I love giving my girls step by step, especially. We know how stressful and complicated technology can be. So I want to make it a little easier for you with that walkthrough. So that's a quick walkthrough, again, if you want a bigger walkthrough of what that can look like, because maybe you're asking yourself, "well, Melissa, I have a freebie. Yeah, but how is that me selling." So your value is always your pitch. You are adding value if you're coming out and giving incredible information for free. People are going to start to wonder "Wow, this was so valuable, I got such a quick win from this. I can't even imagine what's going to be in her paid programs and services." So that's what we want you to be doing as well. Then I walked through that example just now on how to physically make that happen on the back end. So that's the first way that you can be selling every single day by sharing your freebies, and share tons of different places that you can share that freebie for your audience. Let's go into the second way that you can be selling every single day.

Sharing Your Offers

So of course, in your Instagram bio, or your website. If you have ways to work with me, you can share that, share it on your Instagram stories. Share some social proof, maybe some client wins. We love sharing client wins because we love to celebrate with our clients and show you what's possible for you and your business as well. Then go and share "how to work with you" How they can work with you, how to reach out to you. So you can do this with your current offer if you have it open. If you're in a launch right now, at the moment. Your current offer may not be what everyone needs, and that's okay. So here's an example for you.

One of our core signature programs is the Fierce Business Academy. This program is a group coaching program. I'm very involved, my support coaches are very involved. Inside of this we help you start to build and scale your business to 5k months. So even if you've no idea what kind of coaching business or what kind of service based business you want to create, we help you define your niche. Who your ideal client is, create your first offer, start signing clients, the front end and the back end. There are people in our audience so we're in launch for that right now. So yes, doors are open, send me a message if you have questions. Not Everyone in our audience needs that right now, and that's okay. However, those people do need it, it's available. If there's someone in our audience who maybe is a little further along- let's say they have already hit the 3K month or 4k month level, and they want to scale to 10k months, we will make a quick mention of. "Hey, PS. If you're already at this level and are looking for something, at the next level, check out our mastermind. Here, we help you scale to consistent 10k months."

So you see how you can share your other offers, even if you're in a huge launch for one particular offer If they have nothing to do with each other? If there are two very different ideal clients, you are allowed to share both of them. We have women coming into the academy weekly. Then we also bring people into the mastermind, because they're very different ideal clients that are at very different stages of their business. So it's very easy to determine which is a better fit for them. You can also do this, if you have something open, it's evergreen. Right? If you have a course, and you want to be selling, you know, three to five spots into your course, your evergreen course, each month. Let people know about the course you have. You've probably already seen this if we're connected over Instagram. In my Instagram stories where I will share different ways to work with me. In September, in October, and November. Each month I have this and I share with my audience throughout the week. "Hey, these are the ways that you can work with me if you're looking to invest, hire, mentor, and get to where you want to go so much faster than trying to DIY." You can do this yourself as well. Share behind the scenes of your course. The transformation the point A to the point B, let your audience know about it. Okay? You can do this with something similar to ‘ways to work with me’ right now, today. So get going on that.

Reaching Out To Hot Leads

Now the third way that you can be selling every single day. I really mean this, and this is something that I'm going to say most people either forget about or completely avoid it. Because they avoid rejection. Right? Most of us will avoid trying to handle objections because we don't want to be rejected. We avoid sales because we're afraid of the rejection and don't know how to handle that. So the third way to be selling daily is to reach out to your hot leads. Reach out to your warm leads on your lead tracker. If you don't have a lead tracker yet, send me a message we can get you going on that ASAP. You can privately invite them into a program that is the best fit for them. Now, you may not have any hot leads, any warm leads right now. Go out there and start engaging with your audience. start engaging with new people and create those leads. You can start to create a relationship and build that relationship and really nurture your audience and create and find those leads that are in your audience, you just may not realize it.

For every one person that does reach out to you, there are 20 more in your audience watching. I like to call them our lurkers or silent supporters. They want to work with you; however, they may feel intimidated. They may feel they're not ready. Even though we all know that we never feel ready, right? We never feel ready and we get to go ahead and jump anyways, even though it may feel scary. We get to get started and take action. So reach out to them. Be in communication with them and get to know them, check in on them, check in on them every two weeks, whatever you want to do. I definitely recommend having some kind of system there so that you don't forget about them, let them know that they are on your mind. Maybe you're in a big launch and maybe what you have available right now isn't a great fit for them. Pull something out from your secret menu.

You may have heard me talk about this. I talked about secret menu items over on my Instagram quite a bit. You could have secret menu items in your business. Now we have some people come to us sometimes that don’t quite fit the program. Not everyone needs the full six months, or whatever offer that we've got for a certain program. So I may pull out an intensive like, "Hey, let's do an intensive together get you started. And then we can upgrade you into something else." We have done things where we've given clients private Voxer access for a few months at a time, because that's what they're looking for. That's what they need. I'm very great at knowing what it is people need or need support with. Another example is that some people may just want help with their launch and so on. I may do a launch intensive with somebody. I have secret menu items that I pull out when I've got the space on my calendar and availability to do so. You can do the same. 1,000% Yes, you can do the same. Reach out to your leads, chat with them, follow up with them. Ladies, the fortune is in the follow up and actually asking for the sale. You know, even though you're following up or reaching out to somebody to check and see how they're doing. When was the last time you actually asked for the sale? "Hey, have you thought about signing up for my waitlist for this? Hey, have you taken a look at the sales page? Hey, have you checked in this testimonial out? Hey, have you checked this live training out?" Where do you pitch at the end of it? Are you actually asking for the sale? I want you to think back to your last 5 or 10 conversations that maybe you've had in the DMS with potential clients? Have you actually asked for the sale? How often are you asking for the sale? Is this something that you're doing every two weeks? Is it something you're doing every month with maybe one person?

If yes, then we get to do it a little more often. Because people won't buy unless we actually share with them how they can buy and actually ask them to give them that permission slip. Start to actually sell. So there are three ways that you can start selling today. You can sell it their freebie, if you've got it set up in the back end, your value is your pitch. When people see that value in you, they're going to want to work with you and say get those quick wins with you. Second way, again, you can share how to work with you. Create some fun Instagram stories, create some posts, "these are the ways you can work with me." Be transparent. Let your audience know "Hey, you can work with me these ways."  Then of course, reaching out to your hot and warm leads, privately inviting them into certain programs. If you feel they're a fit. Yes, you can do this. You don't have to wait for them to come to you. Go and communicate, go and build those relationships. I would love to hear from you. Go and take action.

I want you to look at your calendar for the rest of the week and determine how you can sell every single day by adding some of these in and if you're looking for even more. I'd love to chat with you. I've got so many different resources for you. But let me know how you're going to be selling over the next few days. In your Instagram Stories? Send me a DM, I would love to hear your big takeaways, @TheMelissaLin. We'll see you next time.
