So today's podcast is all about how to start shifting your mindset around 10K months. So if you're wanting to hit six figures, this is definitely the episode for you. We’re going to talk about what to focus on in your business in order to reach those 10K months before the end of the year, and yes, you can do that, yes, there’s plenty of time left, ways you can reach 10K months, and a few other ideas for some quick cash injection into your business if you're looking for a little bit more cash flow before the year wraps up, and so much more.
Your Business Mindset
The first thing I want to get into is so important because it's something that we all get to touch on every single day as entrepreneurs and every single day in your personal life as well, which is your mindset and your mindset around 10K months. Something that I wanted to share for anybody that needs to hear is that one month from now you can be in a totally different space. So much can really happen in such a short period of time if you decide for it to. You literally have the power to make that shift, make it happen. You can be in such a different space physically, emotionally and financially in a very short period of time, so choose for it, believe it, and plan for it, and then go execute, right? Will you find a way or will you find another excuse and block yourself from what it is you truly desire? If you continue on this podcast episode we will be putting your game plan together for your 10K month. I want to share that there are no prerequisites to hitting a 10K month growth. Business is not linear. I've had some clients jump from their first 1K month to their first 10K month the very next month. I've had some clients that had their first $3,000 month and then jump right into a $10,000 month. You get to choose your timeline and your timeline does not need to look like anybody else's except your own.
I want to share a few journal prompts with you before we really get into the episode that have supported me, they’ve supported my clients over the years, and I have a feeling they’ll also support you today. I'll go through them so that you can write these down and feel free to do one of these each morning or you can do them all in one morning, whatever you choose, whatever feels best for you. The first is, what is it that you need to let go of in order to move forward? The second one is, when do you feel most successful? So what I like to do is have my clients write a list of at least a dozen different activities that make them feel successful, and go and do one of them today, right? We get to step into being and embodying that next level woman, that 10K entrepreneur. Who is she? What are the things she would be doing? We get to go and step into actually being her. So that's the second one. When do you feel most successful? And then the next one is, what are three areas where you’ve been playing too small and journal through why it's no longer serving you and that you're ready to release it. These are such powerful journal prompts and things that can really help you kind of push through some of those blocks that may be holding you back. So what is it that you need to let go of in order to move forward? When do you feel most successful? And what are three areas where you've been playing too small, whether it’s in business or in your personal life because how you are in one is how you are in the other.
Something else I want to share, I know I'm sharing a lot of different things, but something else that I’d like to share with you is that I celebrated my first 10K month, and really any big month, at my first 20K month, my first 50K month, I remember earlier this year when I hit my first 100K month at the very beginning of the year, I was already celebrating before it actually happened. I knew that in order to hit my first $10,000 month years ago I needed to step into the woman that was already hitting them consistently, right? What were some of the things that the 10K version of you would do? She’d probably take action every single day. How would she be on a sales call? Is she going to be afraid of rejection? Is she going to show her potential clients that their vision is possible? Would she show them what is truly holding them back? How would she start celebrating? What would she do to treat herself? As she would do it consistently, not just once a month or once every quarter. This is you being in that next level version, right? Fancy dinners, weekend getaways, first class tickets, even upgrading your coffee drink for the day or your meal or whatever that looks like for you. Whatever that upgrade for you looks like you get to do it and you get to do it consistently and often because that next level version of you and this current you is worthy of it. You get to treat yourself, you get to celebrate. Something that I don't see entrepreneurs do enough is celebrating, so celebrate the big wins, the small wins, the business wins, the personal wins, all of them get to be celebrated. And so we really get to start your shift into that version of you.
What You Need To Hit 10K Months
Now the next thing I want to get into after mindset is really some of the things that you get to focus on in your business to reach 10K by the end of the year. As I mentioned in the beginning of today’s podcast episode, you can be in an entirely different space one month from now. It is more than possible to have your highest month this month. So we've had some of our biggest things in business the very last day of the month, so keep going, you can have it all. If it's the last week of the month, do not give up. You can still accomplish so much, even in just the last week, or the last few days, or even the last few hours of the month. The time that it takes for somebody to enroll into your program is literally seconds, filing in their name and payment method takes seconds for that actual transaction to happen, so much can still happen. What we get to start to do is focus on the things that are going to get you there, so money generating activities, sales activities for your business. In 2018 I hit the six figure mark, in 2019 I hit the multiple six-figure mark, and we are now a seven-figure business and it's my job and passion to help you to get there too.
So let’s talk about some of the things that you do not need in order to hit that 10K month, again, it’s not linear, right? You don't need 10 items in your product suite. You don't necessarily need more things in your product suite to generate more income. You also don't need to add more time into your business. You don't need to spend 10 hours a day on social media or be working 12 hour plus days. I've been working 20-hour work weeks for quite some time now, and we're also continuing to grow the business. So now let’s talk about some of the things that you do need. You need at least one or two strong, signature offers that really speak to your ideal client. I usually recommend higher ticket, and we're going to get into some examples of what that can look like. I remember when I hit my first 10K month, my first six figures a year, we were really only leaning into one-on-one coaching and then one group program. That was it. I had two offers that I was consistently selling and we hit our first six figure year. So it doesn't need to be 10 different offers. It doesn't necessarily need to be more things, more isn't necessarily always better and that’s something to definitely keep in mind. Then we get to really be building relationships and nurturing your audience, adding value. This is such a big piece of business growth, adding value to your audience and really showing up and serving others, adding value somehow in your business. This is actually one of my non-negotiables in my business every single day. Adding some type of value like a podcast episode or a caption or a mini story training or sending a tip over to somebody in the DM's, adding some kind of value from me every single day. It's a non-negotiable. And then starting to really streamline your business. That can look like systems and some organization on the back end and some strategy so that you can work less while having your business start to really run like a machine on the backend, right? Maybe you automate some of your email sequences or automate your onboarding process for your program that you've got or for your course. And yes, we share how to do all of this and the behind the scenes of all of this in our programs with our clients as well.
I chat with a lot of our clients as they come into our Six-Figure Mastermind and they're bringing in a few thousand dollars per month and they're wanting the scale to 10K months in their business and I like to ask them, “what is feeling overwhelming as you first get started?'' So many of them say they feel they are already spending so much time in their business to hit a $2,000 month, they can't even imagine how they're going to be able to hit a 10K month, and this is where really streamlining some of the back end of your business is really going to support you, and just making a few tweaks to some of your programs, or maybe even scaling down some of your programs, right? If you can only bring on maybe two private clients at a time because they get so much support and access to you, same with your group coaching programs, and you're spending all of your time adding in so much personalization to every single program it's not very repeatable and it's not scalable either. I want you to start to ask yourself, “okay, how can I, number one, make this easier for me?” Can I automate the onboarding process that way I'm not having to send out an invoice and an email and setting up account access for every single client because, yes, all of that can be automated. We have our onboarding process completely automated for every single one of our courses, every single one of our coaching programs, including our private coaching as well. Everything has a system so that we can create a very seamless client experience, because you definitely want it to be as easy on the client, and also as easy for you and your team, as possible. Adding in some kind of system there is really going to be supportive, and then continuing to work on your skills as an entrepreneur and a business owner. Continue to expand your knowledge so that you can add more into your business because we don't know what we don't know, which maybe is one of the reasons you're listening to this podcast episode.
Reaching 10K Months In Your Business
I hope you're getting some value from this and I want to now get into some ways that you can reach a 10K a month and give you some other ideas for quick cash injection to your business if you want to add a little bit more, which I always like to challenge my clients to do, right? If your goal is 10K this month, how can we add 10% more? How can you add another 1K on top of that? I love challenging my clients there because I like to support them in stretching and expanding what they even think is possible because so much more is out there and available for them.
So let's get into how to actually map out your 10K month. The way that we're going to do this is we're going to do some reverse engineering to 10K. So first take a look at your current offer, whether you have this in the spreadsheet, or if you have this in a Google Doc, somewhere in your notebook, grab it and take a look at your current offers. Take a look at your price point for your different offers and also take a look at capacity. That's definitely an important thing. If you're only able to bring in five people into your group coaching program, you're going to be capped at an income for that program every time you open and close the doors. You want to think about capacity because that will help you determine how much you can actually sell this month or this quarter. So number one, I want you to ask yourself, okay now after looking at getting my offers that I have, and my price point, and how many people I realistically can bring in each quarter each month, ask yourself how you would like your 10K a month to happen. Are you wanting to fill your one-on-one client roster list or are you wanting to move away from one-on-one and not have so many private clients and maybe really grow your group coaching program and turn it into an evergreen model so that you can bring people in every single month and really scale it, and that's a whole other conversation I actually did a podcast episode about evergreen programs pretty recently and I would love to get even more into that. This is something a lot of people are starting to reach out and ask me about because we do this very consistently, we fill our evergreen programs and we really do it with ease and that’s something we can definitely get inside another podcast episode. But first ask yourself, how would you like it to happen? And second, what makes sense for your business season right now? Let's say, you know, it's the holiday season coming up, Thanksgiving was just here, Christmas is around the corner, other holidays, New Years, that sort of thing. Does it make sense for you to sell more spots one-on-one? Do you want to start new one-on-one clients during the holiday season? There's no right or wrong answer. So me personally, I take the last two weeks of December off and so for me it wouldn't really make sense to start a private client at the end of December. So you can definitely pre-sell spots into January, or for 2022 in the next year. That’s definitely an option and a way for you to hit your goal this month and next month, or does it make more sense for you to sell more spots in your group program or a course that you have? So those are the two things I want you to ask yourself. How would you like your 10K month to happen and what makes sense for your business season right now?
If you're unsure of how you'll be creating that first 10K month or your next 10K month I want to share a few ideas with you on how you can generate that this month in your business. So if you have a high ticket one-on-one private coaching offer, one-on-one is typically going to be your highest level of access to you and also the highest ticket, so if you have one private coaching client at $10,000, well, that is your 10K a month right there. Maybe you've got a perfect soulmate client out there ready to invest into your private coaching package at 10K. Let's say that you have a group coaching program that runs at $2,000, maybe it's a three-month or four-month coaching package for $2,000 and you're wanting to move from the one-to-one to one-to-many and serve more people all while working less and that's how you can hit your 10K a month. Five spots in that group coaching program of $2,000 gives you your 10K month. If you're wanting to lean more into your passive course that you have or even thinking about launching a passive course, 20 sales of a $500 course will get you that 10K month as well. And you can also mix these around, maybe a few group coaching spots and a few courses. You can always blend them to reach that 10K month. If you launched your course last month and maybe you're looking to utilize a lower ticket, you can definitely offer some kind of lower ticket as a downsell to your audience. So for example, if you have a $100 digital download, we have our Fierce Business Bundle which is $97 during Black Friday, but it's going back up to $197 after this, and if you’ve got a hundred sales of those that's about your 10K a month right there. Same thing with the mini course. Something I do want to share is that lower ticket is not necessarily any easier to sell or harder to sell, right? It just really depends on your audience size. I have some clients with less than a thousand followers who hit 10K months in their business because they're really leaning into higher ticket items, there's definitely an audience factor that goes into that. If you have a huge audience it may feel easier for you to have lower ticket items, really, personal preference there, but I like to recommend leaning into some of those higher tickets because those are usually in my experience easier to sell because people are looking for one-on-one coaching and more personalization or programs and support. So those are some examples on how you can reach your 10K month.
Quick Cash in Your Business
I want to give you a few bonus ideas for some quick cash injections into your business as you’re wrapping the year up, and again, if you're ever wanting to add more into your sales calendar or your sales plan for the quarter, for the year, do this and challenge yourself. How can you add 10% more in this month or 20% more this month in your business? Intensives are always a great thing that you can add in. I like to call them secret menu items because these are things that maybe you don’t always have available, but you can pull them out of the back of your pocket, kind of like a secret menu, like some restaurants have secret menus that we know about, but they're not always out there and being marketed. You can pull some items out and sell them because this is your business, so you get to call the shots. You get to make up the rules, which is always so, so fun and exciting. Pull out some secret menu items if you're wanting to generate some more cash flow. You can always, and this is what I usually recommend, utilize something that you already have versus trying to make something brand-new very quickly. So an intensive is something that you can put together very easily, there's usually nothing new that you need to create. You can also pre-sell 2022 spots. If your one-on-one coaching roster is completely full, presell some January spots or February spots. Again, other secret menu items, things that you already have, older mini courses that you have. If you have some courses sitting in your vault then you can always host a flash sale for a few days to generate a little bit more income, some quick cash injections. So those are some ideas for you to be bringing in a few more sales this month to wrap up your 10K month, or again, if maybe you're looking to hit your first 20K month, 30K month, and so on. You can definitely utilize that same method and reverse-engineer based off of your offers you have available, your price point capacity, that sort of thing.
We have touched on so many fun things, we went into how to really start shifting your mindset around 10K months, some of the things to focus on in your business to reach those higher cash months before the end of the year, ways that you can reach that 10K month. and a few other ideas for some quick cash injections in your business, and so much more.
