I chat with a special guest, Petia Kolibova, she is a life and mindset coach who is so passionate about helping corporate women who have been playing small due to toxic relationships and past trauma who are ready to heal. Her mission is to help women who are ready to heal their past wounds and finally serve other women powerfully.

In today’s episode, we dive into mindset, love languages, how to show up transparently online, how to create your core values and how all of this affects your business.

What advice would you give someone who is struggling to feel worthy enough, or are dealing with someone toxic in their life because that could have such a huge role in your business?

“This starts with you. You have to realize your own value and your own gift. If you leave one toxic relationship and you don’t learn how to build a relationship with yourself you will always have those same feelings that will get worse and worse. When you go through the relationships you realize that you’re going through the same patterns and it’s because you didn’t value yourself. I would start with really celebrating yourself, every single day when you’re getting yourself ready for bed or in the morning, look in the mirror and say 7 things you’re proud of yourself. You could do 100 things that are amazing, but you will still only focus on that one thing.“

If there is someone out there having a tough time or in a dark time what advice would you give them?

  1. Don't isolate yourself.

Be open and be vulnerable, ask for help. Sometimes we think we are superheroes and if we are vulnerable people won’t think we are strong enough, but that is B.S. People don’t connect with perfection, people connect with realness and being raw. Don’t come from a place of victimhood because some people like to bring their darkness on people as a craving for attention. But if you come from a place of asking for help that can be so helpful because if I had someone who told me 8 years ago, “It’s going to be okay.”

2. Meditation.

“Meditation in my representation is just you being with you. When I was depressed I didn’t want to be with myself and I avoided spending time with my thoughts so I would go shopping, binging on food. David G. has great guided meditations on soundcloud and iTunes called “This Too Shall Pass” that are really helpful and soothing because he goes through little stories and tells you that it’s going to be alright.

3. Move your body.

Anything that gets your body moving is good. Your body stores emotions within it. If you’re sad and depressed, then your body will store and build up that emotion. There is a period before moving where I would resist it, but once I get on the other side of the workout I feel soooo much better.


It took me 20-something years to realize we don’t have to do things alone. I ended up seeing others speaking their truth, believing and thinking, “Omg if she can do it, I can do it”. I want other women to be able to live the life they’re excited about, not living up to other expectations or for anyone else.

I always ask myself, “What’s the worst that could happen?” Then I think of three scenarios and if I’m okay with the worst outcome, then I go for it. If i’m not okay with the outcome, then I go back and reevaluate the problem or decision. I will write all three things down and I normally get the best one. I truly believe in manifestation, so by writing things down I can focus on the best one and make it happen.

A lot of people struggle with opening up, especially on social media, and it’s something that we’re all working on. We think about the worst and the best, but we never really think about that realistic in the middle; the three combo.

For example, as someone with a presence on social media, you are probably scared to share because people will judge you on social media. What could happen when you share an intimate detail?

  1. Worst - Your family will be upset and not talk to you, you will lose followers, your lover will be mad since you’ve never shared it with them.

  2. Realistic - Your family will never read it, your lover doesn’t watch it anyway, and a few people will comment on it like, “Oh wow that’s great”.

  3. Best - Your boyfriend will love you even deeper since he had no idea what you were hiding inside of you, your family and you will become closer because they will finally see your perspective and you will have a few women who are going through something similar and would like coaching on getting through it. So you are changing people’s lives and you created deeper connections.


We have this social media mask and that’s the one thing we really have to break through if we want to connect. People don’t connect with perfection, they connect with realness.

How do you show acts of love towards your clients, and for those of us who aren’t doing this, how do we ask our current clients about their love languages so we really know how to give them what they need?

“First, you have to realize which of the five languages are YOUR love languages, there are usually two that are your strongest. Once you know how you want to be loved, you know how to tell people to love you. So, to be honest I want to know, so I ask my clients and if they don’t know I will send them the link I sent you to find out. Other times I can tell based on how they’re talking about themselves and their business. Otherwise, just be bold because again “What’s the worst that could happen?”. I don’t attract people that don’t want to share those things. I love these women for life and they trust me. So I ask them directly and they usually feel comfortable to open up. In turn your clients will do what you show them, so they will treat their clients in the same way. When you are more clear about what makes you happy and what brings you joy, then you know how to ask for it. Nobody else is responsible for your own happiness. When you are happy and feeling good, you don’t sweat the small stuff. But when you are feeling unfulfilled or frustrated then really simple things that you wouldn't notice can make you more mad. You gotta take care of your own happiness because when you are putting it in other people’s hands you will always be unhappy.

It’s important to remember that you can never make everyone happy, and I see this especially in women. We are naturally loving and nurturing. The thing is I will always be a giver, but what’s changed is I’m coming from a place of love, not fear. When it’s coming from a place of love then it feels so good, with no strings attached. If i’m giving and expecting something back, it’s coming from a place of fear.”

Why is it so important to have core values in your life and in your business, what are some steps to get there?

“Core values are non-negotiables. If others don’t share your core values then they don’t belong in your inner circle. My personal core values are generosity, always learning, integrity and if you don’t have those you’re not in my life. There is a very easy exercise that anyone can do right away. Take a big sheet of paper and divide it in two. On one side, write things that you are against and don’t stand for. At the same time, on the other side write things that you do stand for. Do this at the same time, left then right. Once you reach 20 lines, pick 3 that are your favorites, that you have to have no matter what. Then you ask yourself in a relationship or with clients ask “Are these three values present ?”. If not, it doesn’t mean that the other individual is not a good person, or my values are better than theirs, it just means you value different things. And that can be great! But I work with my clients for 6 or 12 months and I work to enable a major shift and that’s something I teach others too.”
