IN THIS EPISODE:

Today we’re talking all about all about facebook groups. I actually made my first 5k month as an online fitness coach solely from my facebook group, and it started out pretty small with less than 100 people. This happened for a couple of reasons:

  1. I simplified things in my business.

  2. I created a community and a tribe.

We’re going to dive deep into why facebook groups are so important. How it can help your business and if you don’t have one yet, I highly recommend it.  I hear all the time how people don’t want to deal with Facebook Groups because it’s just another thing to keep up with or learn. But, if you are on any platforms right now, you should master those platforms first and put all of your energy into those platforms that you’re currently on then move into possible Facebook.

Also, I want you to think about where your ideal client is spending their time, the majority of the world has Facebook. Like I said before I made my first 5k month all from my Facebook Group. I even took a little IG hiatus because I really wanted to nurture it back then.

How you can start a Facebook Group and why they are so important:

  1. Creates a Community.

It creates a community of your people and your ideal clients. People love being surrounded by other people who are going through the same thing. They are going through the same struggles and just get what you are going through. Here, you can create a safe space for your ideal clients to make new friends and learn from you.

  1. Builds a Relationship & Trust

They will start to build relationships and trust. Selling is all about human connection, relating to people. We can do that inside of our Facebook Group. We can help with their struggles and walk them through the mistakes that you’ve made yourself and you don’t want them to make. When I started my Facebook Group and I got my first 30 people, I was having conversations with every single person, I knew what they are going through, their day job, goals and was really able to build relationships with them. So when I went to put my first program out, it worked because I build that connection with them.

You don't need a ton of people inside your facebook group. At the end of the day it’s not about the money, it’s about impacting the world, helping people and making a difference, my first 5k month came from my facebook group with less than 100 people and my first 10k month I had a little over 100 people there. It doesn’t take much.

3. You can add direct value to your clients very quickly and easily through your Facebook Group. You can do weekly live trainings, content in your posts and then your clients are going to want more from you and are going to buy from you.

4. You can sell and promote inside your Facebook Group.

This is another selling platform for your business. This is your business, so you get to make up your rules. As you build your community, your tribe will like, know and trust you more. And continue to add value and promote your programs along the way.

So, before starting your Facebook Group, you do need to have some details figured out, what’s your niche, ideal client and what the purpose of this Facebook Group is. Where are your ideal clients when they come to your group? Where do you want them to be throughout?, what do you want them to be learning, what do you want them to feel and experience?

How to start you Facebook Group:

  1. You need a niche name. It is better to be clear over clever, you want something that is going to clearly state what your Facebook Group is for and that goes with your niche.

  2. Whatever your niche name is you should make sure that you are using keywords. You want people that know you and don’t know you to come to your group, so that’s why you want to use keywords in your name for people to find you. For example, if they search “Fitness Business” my group will pop up.

  3. Make sure you change your URL name and make it pretty so that you can give a readable FB Group link to people you’re sending it to. You can go to FB Group and go to group settings, and change address and change it to your group name! And use a Facebook cover photo.

  4. Don’t just add people to your facebook groups, make sure you’re sending them a link to invite them, and then you can ask them questions to join your Facebook group. People normally ask questions for market research, email address *wink wink*. My questions are normally, What is your biggest struggle?, What is your email address?, Where are you at in your journey right now? Your clients are giving you free market research so use that.

  5. Share about your facebook group. You can put this everywhere, your facebook bio, IG stories, messages to your clients.

How to convert your leads that are inside of your Facebook Group:

  1. Make it special. You want your Facebook Group to be a VIP place so I do weekly coaching sessions, IG audits for free, live trainings, and I put content inside of my Facebook Group that they can’t see anywhere else. Give your ideal clients a reason to be there. Make them want to stay and want to engage.

  2. You want to give your ideal clients what they need. We need to teach our ideal clients what they want to learn. They give you the market research and give them polls to answer and then provide it to them. Ask. Listen. Teach. Be there for your Tribe.

  3. We need to be promoting inside of your Facebook Group. I know that alot of people don’t do this, because they think they’re not allowed to but that is not true! Post testimonials, your products, and results. People need to see things multiple times before they are ready to think about buying. As you continue to add value you should continue to promote if you want to see sales.

  4. Asking for the sale. You cannot receive the sale if you don’t ask for it. Tell people how they can work with you, give call to actions, waitlists, a book a call. They need to know how they can work with you.

  1. Facebook Challenges

  2. Facebook Lives

  3. Asking questions, doing polls

  4. Tutorials, how to’s

  5. Set that expectation that you need engagement.

How you can add more people in your Facebook Groups, you can have your Facebook Group everywhere! You can put it in your IG & FB bio, stories, your linktre, and you can also hold contests to invite their friends. So just really having that link out there for them.
