Podcast Giveaway & Top Episodes

By: Melissa Lin

Welcome back to another episode of The Fierce Business Babe Podcast! Now, today is the day. I have been teasing this. We have been talking about it for about two weeks now and today is the big day. This is episode 200 on The Fierce Business Babe Podcast! I started this podcast a few years ago and every single week we’ve released at least one brand new episode every single week. For the last two and a half months we've been releasing two episodes every week for you to really gear up and celebrate episode 200 with you today. Today is the day for everybody that took the time to participate in the giveaway. I first want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. It means the world to me, it means the world to my team, it means the world to Pearl, it really does. I truly, truly appreciate every moment that you gave in entering and partaking in that giveaway with us. The three winners were announced this morning on Instagram. If you are one of the winners, we have already sent you a message, so go check your Instagram DM's. We sent details and how you’ll be receiving your giveaway prizes. We had $1,500 worth of prizes to give away, so exciting. We will definitely continue to do more of these as we continue to grow and to push out more episodes. Episode 300 is going to be here before we know it. I still can’t believe we’re at 200, it’s so exciting!

Again, I just wanted to say thank you so much to everybody that did participate. It’s so cool and I’m definitely going to celebrate this week and into this weekend. A lot goes into creating a podcast and things like that. I shared a bit about that on our podcast episode about how to start a podcast with some of the things I'd recommend, and so it's pretty exciting. Thank you for just being part of this. Thank you for being part of my community and the podcast community and really listening to the episodes and implementing the things I share. I receive so many messages throughout the week from some of my listeners about the wins they've created from the podcast alone. It truly is my goal of the podcast to help you move the needle forward in your business. Now let’s get into episode 200!

Today’s episode is going to be a little different. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do because we do have so many episodes. Weekly I have people coming to me and asking me, “Melissa, where should I start? Should I go all the way back to the beginning with episode one? Should I start midway? Where would you recommend I start?” Because of this I wanted to share with you today where I recommend you start depending on where you are in your business. We’re also going to get into my top performing episodes and highest recommended episodes based on how far in your business you are right now. I'm going to be breaking it down for you, whether you're in the very, very early stages of your business and just starting, or maybe you’re ready to quantum leap into multiple six figures, or even seven figures in your business.

Podcast Episodes for Business Beginners

I first want to start with a few episodes that I recommend if you're in the very beginning stages of your business. The top episodes for a beginner in business. I went through our episodes and I found some of our more recent ones that I definitely recommend you start. I've got three for you. In every episode I push out there are action items for you, very tangible things for you to walk away with. The first one I recommend if you're in the very beginning stages of your business is episode 172. Episode 172 is about the daily tasks to be doing in your business. It’s really catered to this year, so 2022, however these are daily tasks that you can continue on the rest of the year, and even into 2023 to be honest. I go into some items that I recommend focusing on in your business. I share some examples of the things that I focus on throughout the week in my business, tips for making this the best year yet, the year is not even close to being over, there’s still so much time, and so much more. That’s just to give you a little taste, a little sneak peek. I definitely go into my non-negotiables.

If you follow me on Instagram or social media, you're very aware that my big three non-negotiables in my business, regardless of what day of the week it is, I always make sure I take care of these three things in my business. The first is supporting clients, checking in with them, making sure they're supported. The second is adding some type of value. Whether it’s a new podcast episode, even re-sharing a podcast episode, sharing a freebie that I have, putting a new reel up, a new caption, some type of value that I can share with the world. The third is, of course, selling. We sell every single day as well, it’s a big non-negotiable in my business for me. That's the first one I recommend, Episode 172: Daily Tasks for Business in 2022.

The second one that I recommend is another great one. They're all great, I’m going to say that about all of them. The second one is episode 163. It’s about mindset during launches. I created this episode because I can almost guarantee that all entrepreneurs at some point in their business have had this feeling while they're launching something. I know I definitely have. I felt this exact way during my very first launch back in 2014, wowza that was a while ago! When we launch a brand new offer, a lot of times so many of us expect all the sales to come in within the first 30 seconds. That really isn’t how it works and it’s not very realistic for most launches. What do we do when we feel this way? We know deep down we shouldn't give in, but we feel like it's already a failure even though it’s only 30 seconds into the launch. Most tend to give up. So, how can we reframe? How can we shift so that we don't give up and we keep going? The answer to that is exactly why I recorded that episode. It’s so, so important and key to how your launches will go; your mindset as you prep for your launch; your mindset as you're in your launch. Your mindset every single day throughout your launch and while running your business is so key. In that episode I go into mindset during launches, a lot of sales mindset, and then also how to reframe it. How to shift when your launch isn't going as planned, things that come up during launches, because they do from time to time, and so much more. I definitely recommend that, especially if you're going through a launch right now. If you're having those feelings, this is definitely an episode that’s really going to support you.

So if you're in the beginning stages of your business, just starting to sign your first few clients, the third episode I recommend for you is episode 143. The first one I recommend is 172, then 163, and now 143. This one is all about how to sign more clients this week. Before I recorded this episode I remember posting a question box on my Instagram story, which I do often, and one of the most asked questions was on how to sign more clients and how to get more people interested in the programs that they're selling. I thought, why not create a podcast episode about it? So in this episode I take the time to deep dive into the topic, answer those questions, and really give you more of a strategy side. Sales and selling as a skill that I've spent the last five, six, seven, eight years improving and really falling in love with. It’s very natural and very easy for me. Any time that we open spots for our private coaching container, we fill them within a week or less. Every week we’re also enrolling new women into our group programs and into our courses. This episode will be really, really helpful if you’re starting to work on sales and also wanting to sign more clients into your business this week. We get into some sales mindset, how to create awareness around your offers, three specific strategies that you can use this very week to sign more clients, and some more tips and tools to utilize as you're working through it as well. I highly recommend those three episodes if you're in the beginning stages of your business. Huge congrats on starting your business, I cannot wait to see what you create this year.

Go To Episodes for the Intermediate Stages

I want to go into some episodes if you're more of an intermediate business. Maybe you've started your business, you've been in it for a year or so, you’ve been signing clients consistently, but it hasn't really moved to the next level. Maybe you’re stuck at $5K months or $6K months, you just haven’t quite hit the $10K or $15K month mark in your business. You’ve kind of plateaued. These episodes will be more for the intermediate business. The first thing I recommend is episode 162 where I dive into and give you three tips to six figures. What I really cover in this episode for you are some of the shifts that I made when I scaled to six figures. I hit six figures in my business back in 2018. I also share my 3 tips for you to scale to six figures, and so much more. So yes, there’s strategy, there are tips to sell, there is so much there. I also touch on how to start to expand your business and really scale it to the next level.

I was actually on a group call with one of my Masterminds this week supporting my clients and we were talking about thinking ahead and prepping ahead for the next level of your business, specifically your programs. This is something that I also cover in one of the episodes that we're going to talk about if you're wanting to quantum leap your business. Always be thinking ahead and spend like 1% of your week thinking ahead, planning ahead, thinking bigger vision. How are you going to be able to really scale and really move things forward in your business? For example, if you're a group program right now and support five women at a time, amazing. How can we start to think about shifts that can be made in your group program to support 10 people, 20 people, 30 people, while still creating an amazing client experience and amazing results for your clients? It’s about helping more people. You're going to get so much more of that in Episode 162: 3 Tips to 6 Figures.

Now the next episode that I recommend if you are an intermediate business owner is Episode 175: Challenges of Being Your Own Boss. I really loved recording this episode because there are so many challenges and so many things that happen in business that aren't really showcased on social media. Most will showcase the sunshine, the rainbows, the things are going well. They don't always share the challenges and some of the roadblocks that do come up. They do definitely come up, I’ve hit many of them over the years, so I absolutely loved recording this episode. I really went into some of the challenges that you may face as you start and scale your own business, you in the CEO seat. I share many examples where I have faced challenges as CEO of my business, perks of running your own business, and so much more. I highly recommend it. Even if you're in the beginning stages of your business, all of these episodes are going to be helpful. I structure my podcasts so they are helpful for everybody. Even though I'm speaking into some higher-level strategy at some point, it will be helpful. I definitely recommend this one specifically, no matter what level you're at. I do have a feeling you'll be able to relate with at least one of the examples I share with you.

The third episode I recommend if you're in the intermediate time in your business is episode 169. It's all about planning your sales plan. Something I always share with my clients is that having a plan in place makes everything feel so much more doable. If you feel like you’re always thinking, “well, I don't know where my next client is going to come from,” or “I don't know how next month is going to be,” or if you feel like you're starting from scratch every single month, I want you to know it does not have to feel this way. Your business can be predictable. You can project what your next three months should look like income-wise with a sales plan and with a sales process. I never want you to feel like you're starting from scratch every single month. Having a sales process and also a sales plan is going to really serve you and your business. I highly recommend taking a listen to that. It's an exercise I take my clients through, an exercise I go through as I’m making my sales plan for the year as well. So the three episodes I recommend if you’re in the intermediate phases of your business are Episode 162: 3 Tips to 6 Figures, Episode 175: Challenges of Being Your Own Boss, and then Episode 169: Planning Your Sales Plan.

Episodes to Help You Scale Your Business

Now, let's get into some episodes for if you're looking to really scale and quantum leap your business and really move into the multiple of six figure, seven figure level. These next three episodes are really going to support you. The first is Episode 153: My 2021 Team Breakdown. It is very similar to my 2022 team breakdown. The week that I recorded that episode I was supporting my higher-level, Mastermind clients who are currently working on scaling to multiple six figures in their businesses and absolutely crushing it. Most of the women at this level in their businesses who have already reached six figures and are scaling to multiple six figures do have a few team members. They may have one to two team members and are starting to really expand their team if they haven't yet. I did an exercise with them around organizational charts to help them clearly lay out who was on their team, what their key roles were, what their roles were during launches, who they may need next in their business, and more. Naturally, as I started showing some of my org charts for my business I thought to myself, I don't have a podcast about this, let’s go record this. So of course we have a podcast episode about it now. It’s all about my team. I go into my very first hire, which I believe was back in 2018, and then some of my 2019 hires, my current team, who is helping me, what their roles are, the biggest things I delegate, what I do in my business, and so much more. I highly, highly recommend that one.

The next episode I recommend if you’re really wanting to quantum leap your business is episode 170. This is all about scaling evergreen programs. Now, a lot of people come to me and hire me as their coach because they've seen this huge business that I’ve built. They've also seen how I simplified it as much as possible. I've made it and kept it simple, without overcomplicating things. Something that I've done over the past few years is really shift most of my coaching programs into an evergreen model. I have been able to scale them with ease. We can support 20, 30, 40, 50 plus inside each of our programs with no problem because of the way that I’ve structured my programs. That's just a tiny taste of what I cover in this episode, so I highly recommend it. I go into evergreen programs, what they are, why I shifted to them, how to review some of your recent launches in performance, how gauge what needs to be improved. I also cover how to evaluate your current model, whether it's open-close, evergreen, whatever your current model is in your business, and also how to start mapping out your future scaling plan. I did mention that a little bit ago about thinking ahead. How can we truly scale so that twice as many, three times, four times, five times, as many people can join your programs with high transformations, high claim experience and so on? That's definitely a big thing I cover in this episode, how to start mapping out that future scaling plan, and then a few bonus tips for your evergreen program today as well. I highly recommend that one.

Now for the last episode I recommend if you're really wanting to quantum leap. Another big thing that a lot of people come to me for is they see how easy sales are for me and also how hands off it is. I haven't done a sales call in my business in over 3 years and nobody on my team has either. We don’t do sales calls. We’ve removed them from our sales process because it just wasn't necessary. Episode 174 was about my $45,000 sales week that I had, I believe it was towards the end of last year. I had that $45,000 week without a big launch, with zero sales calls, while taking two weeks off. I was traveling during that time as well. This episode really covers what this looks like inside of a business and some of the things that happened behind the scenes and what was set in place in order for that $45,000 sales week in my business. Then of course I also share some tips and tricks to increase your sales this week in your business. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes in my podcast episodes, and this is really why I created this podcast. I wanted a place I could really dive deep with you and share some of the things that you don't really get a glimpse of on social media. There isn't the time to share everything on social media, which is what this is for. That's why I created this space and this community and this podcast.
