Today, I have a special guest with me, Alexandra Ramirez, she is a Facebook Ads and Sales Funnel Coach. She works specifically with female online entrepreneurs who make some money in their business but are really desiring to build that queendom they desire.
Alexandra got started on Fivver when you could only do a $5 package, where I offered a full hour of administration work for $5 an hour. She then took her mom’s (seasoned freelancer) advice to start seeking out clients outside of the Fivver space. She began reaching out to BeachBody coaches as she was a former BeachBody coach herself and understood the space and doing some of their virtual assistant work and then moved into working with business coaches and someone who worked with Sales Funnels, then moved into a Sales Funnel Agency.
Now, she generates passive income products making her own sales funnels, webinars and courses. Alexandra recently moved from creating done for you product and into creating passive income products, where she can now help so many more people on a wider range.
Before, she was always very skeptical of Facebook Ads because they haven’t seen an actual ROI because they don’t know how to actually do it.
How can someone shift their mindset to understanding that using Facebook Ads is okay?
“Organic advertising is a great strategy, but when you add paid ads to it you’re reaching so many more people, also retargeting ads can make such a difference for your business as well.
When would you say is a good time to start using Facebook Ads for your business?
“NOW. It doesn’t matter if you are in the beginning of your business or if you are advanced and making $20k a month, you can still use Facebook Ads. As a beginning you can really start using Facebook Ads to get your business visibility out there. You could also do a lead generation ad to a fast valued freebie for something that just starts getting people into your email list or facebook group.
Facebook Ads are not just for making sales...you can use it in many different ways, you can use it to grow your visibility, you can use it to grow your brand, you can use it for lead generation, you can use it for sales, there’s many different ways that you can use it.”
A lot of people fear that it’s too expensive to use Facebook Ads. But if you look at it as spending $300 a month that could easily bring in about 150 targeted leads per month who, people who could actually be ready to buy. You can find that ideal client and it reaches them and then you know that they’re an ideal client because they’re interested in this freebie that you’re putting out there.
It makes so much sense to spend money on something that can actually be used to actually get you leads. Retargeting ads holds another misconception that not alot of people know about and it’s great if you want to offer something else to that audience.
What would you say is the best type of ad to start with initially?
“Normally I recommend starting with a lead generation ad, what I call a “fast value freebie” which is like a .pdf download, ex. 5 day meal plan for new moms, and then it gets them into the system or your community.
You could also start with warm up ads, you can use those to get more people to notice you and your brand and getting them to know, like and trust you. An example of a warm up lead could be a live educational video. The reason for it is so you can create a “know, like trust factor” with your clients.“
How often would you say you should have Facebook Ads running?
“I would say all the time. Especially the lead generation ads, you should always have those running because if you’re only running ads during the time frame that you’re launching something, that means that you are only going to be getting leads in that time frame.
If you want people to book a call with you, you can always have those running too and then just change the ad every couple of months.’
The possibilities are endless!
What type of photo would you recommend that will perform best?
“There is a lot of stats out there for this, there’s not one magic one that works because Facebook has recently changed to allow a square ad rather than a rectangle. In my opinion, you have to think about it in terms of the consumer, if you were scrolling through facebook or instagram, What would you want to see? What would make you click? For me, I want to see your face, your brand and what makes it yours. My ideal client too is that they want to know, like and trust me. If I can start the first impression with them with my face, it’s always been the best.”
If someone was to put together an ad today, what would they need?
“First of all you need the funnel or an opt in page that says something like, “download my free pdf” with a photo of you and the field for their name and email, then a thank you page, prompting them to go somewhere else or join your facebook group. This could be a very simple funnel that will give you lead generation. Then have your graphic, good copy, and your audiences.”
