Today we are diving into something I love chatting about, launching! How to launch effectively in your business today, the things that are involved in a launch, client successes and more!
About 4 or 5 years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to imagine a 4 or 5 figure launch but now, I have finally mastered it and I am going to help you master get there too because you’re my tribe! Before we dive in, we need to make sure you have a few things crossed off, we need to have a program that you are obsessed with and that you’ve already done some market research on. If you don’t have one yet pause this and take a listen to Episode 34, it has to be a program that you are so in love with because if you are not excited for it, your audience will see that.
So let’s get into it!
What is launching? What does launching really include?
Launching is you putting your programs out there but with strategy. Yes, I am all about taking on your business with messy action especially in the beginning maybe the first 3 to 6 months. But you will have a much more successful launch if you have some strategy to it.
Some things that you really need to think about and incorporate into your program launch:
Step 1: We have to do market research
If you developed a program, you have to do some research to make sure that this is a program that people actually want. You want to make sure that it’s something your ideal clients want. Utilize your tools, polls, dms, surveys, to make sure that it is something that people want before you put all your time and energy into it.
You can actually launch your program before you finish it. I am a big believer in creating your program as you go.
There are many reasons for this:
1. If you spend 12 weeks creating this program, that’s 12 weeks you’re not helping anyone.
2. Your people might not be ready, or be on a different pace than you are, so you may have to go back and rework your program anyway.
Whenever I put a program out there I’m want to make sure it’s going to sell before I create the entire thing unless it’s a course, then yes that needs to be created. But if it’s a program then yes you are allowed to create as you go!
Step 2: Outline your program.
Outline your program, the length, how much time does your client need to get from point A to point B, how are you going to support them? And remember you can create as you go!
Step 3: Picking your delivery platform.
After you’ve outlined your program, how are you going to actually deliver it to your clients? Are you going to be utilizing emails, coaching calls, kajabi, teachable, there is no right or wrong.
Step 4: Actually Launching!
This is a step that a lot of use will avoid doing because it’s scary to put yourself out there, we’re afraid of getting judged, that no one’s going to buy. But we have to actually launch,
Let your audience know it’s coming, before you’ve even created, before you’ve got your launch, the sooner you start to tease the more they’re going to know it’s coming. It takes 5-7 times for your audience to see something before you get their attention. You have to be excited about it, if you’re not excited about it, that actually might be a red flag that maybe your program isn’t in alignment with where you are either in life or your business.
Add value. Before your actual launch date, add a story post, and connect with your audience, you need to connect with them and build a relationship with them.
Decide how long is your launch going to be? How many people do you want inside your group coaching program? How many applications do you need to get those 10 people? How many sales calls do you need to get onto?
If you wanted to get 10 people into your program, let’s say you have a close rate of 50% on sales calls, so in order to get 10 people into your program you’re going to be doing about 20 sales calls, so really think about how much time do you actually need to launch to get to your goals?
When it comes to launching something that doesn’t require sales calls maybe it’s a product, or a lower ticket offer. That social proof is key, get some beta testers to try it out for testimonials.
During your launch, you actually need to sell your program, you need to spread it across different platforms, have your call to actions, get on sales calls and engage with your potential clients. If you are in launch mode you want to be sharing your product/ service on instagram stories minimum twice a week, one speaking to the camera and the other is an infographic and have call to actions for the service twice a week, that way you’re hitting your audience 4 times throughout the week.
At the end of the day not everyone is going to see every single one of your posts during that week. Don’t feel like you’re talking about your program too much, because it’s going to take 5-7 times for someone to acknowledge that this coming out.
How often should I be launching 1:1 coaching?
I always recommend open/close over always having open coaching spots because it adds scarcity and speeds up the decision making process when it comes to your program, because you want to be working with people right now that are saying “yes, yes, yes”
You want to create that urgency, you can create it on the number of spots, the timeline, so that people realize that they need to take action now. And then ask yourself how many spots do you have available. Start to cycle in your new clients and you can create some urgency by offering a special bonus for your tribe.
How often do I talk about my program in a launch?
I always recommend at least 2-4 times on each platform throughout the week. That doesn’t mean you have to get on IG stories every single day, you can cycle it into your values pieces, your captions, your call to actions, ig story graphics, fb live with your value there. The more value you add the less it’s going to feel like the whole pitching and promoting thing.
